About Us

I have been a painter and decorator for 25 years, doing everything from basic paint jobs to full house redecorations. I am versatile in all aspects of decorating, whether it’s interior painting and wallpapering or exterior painting. As a good painter and decorator I am not just limited to decorating but skilled in a variety of related trades such as tiling, wall repairs, etc. and so can offer a complete service for your redecoration needs.

I have worked for many companies over the years, large and small, gaining ever more experience. I am now a sole trader covering all aspects of the trade, I'm primarily a painter and decorator but also adept at many other trades and offer them via a handyman service.

Whatever your decorating or handyman needs Graham and Son offer a friendly and reliable service at a competitive price. I always undertake our work in a quiet, clean professional manner and I genuinely enjoy making a difference not only to your surroundings but also for you.


Rates, Terms and Conditions from 1st June 2019

Hourly Rate. For short term work such as putting up shelves and hanging some pictures I will give you a free and accurate quote over the phone. I will provide a receipt and all receipts for any materials/hardware.

Day rate. I have a day rate that can save you money if you book me for the whole day of 7 hours. During a day I am able to get a wide variety of jobs done in and outside the house. I will provide a receipt and all receipts for any materials/hardware.

Longer Term Work Rate. If you require longer term work then I will come and meet with you for a no obligation quote. We can then talk through ideas and what you would like. I will then provide you with a formal quotation with a breakdown of costs and dates that I can complete the work.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Prices quoted are dependent on ‘normal’ circumstances, if unforeseen issues require additional work to be carried out then I reserve the right to charge for additional labour as required. Customers will always be consulted before any additional work takes place.
  2. I reserve the right to request a deposit of up to 50% of the contract price at the start of work, this will be particularly relevant when it is required to purchase materials on behalf of the customer.


  1. I charge the full fee for jobs which are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. This applies to any type or length of work.
  2. If 5 working days notice is given for jobs that are a day or less no fee will be charged.
  3. For work which is more than a day, 50% of the total work fee will be charged unless 10 working days notice is given.

Criminal Records Check - Peace of mind. I have a clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, previously known as CRB) which states I have no criminal convictions of any type.
